You are gorgeous with a gorgeous family. Sorry for the losses you suffered, thanks for the photo, wish I knew you then and wish I lived across the street from you then and now. XX
Dear Ilene,
Isabelle was my best friend in early years. I lived across the street on Hickory Place. I have always regretted not keeping in touch and was very saddened to hear of her passing. I have so many happy memories of spending time with Isabelle during those carefree days. Rolling down the hill from your house to Rosensteins and busting open my appendix incision(still have that ugly scar, lol), curling up on my parents bed to watch the Brady bunch and Partridge family, ice skating lessons early Saturday mornings are among some. Isabelle was beautiful inside and out I cannot imagine the grief you suffered. I pray for you and your family and am thankful to have had Isabelle as a friend. Maureen
Ps. I have read and reread all your books and loved them. God Bless.
Mother Love is Eternal. Mothers never stop loving, giving or forgiving.
No matter how your mother treated you or didn’t treat you, bless her and just keep
loving. In that process you will become loved. You are proof of that. Bless you and your family on this wonderful loving day.
Ilene, my thoughts and heart are with you today. My mother lost my two older brothers and although she had had them for many years she never got over that. This is not what’s supposed to happen to mothers. I wish you joy with the children you still have with you. Sally
Life!… they never told us how complicated it would be to be a grownup.
And yet we’ve slogged through, clinging to the happy memories, holding on, too, the sad ones, and– if we’re very lucky–soon to make some new ones.
Of course we’ll be wearing masks and maybe gloves and wiping down surfaces!
Love to you. Your children and grandchildren are so lucky to have you in their lives.

Happy Mother’s Day Ms. B! Isabelle and all the Beckerman kids had the coolest, kindest mom in town!
I remember the day in 1963. The photo of your family is wonderful. You are so beautiful in it.
